You can change your project status from the Project List or from inside of any project detail modal.
Project List
From the project list, you can click on any of the statuses inside of the Status column and change them using the dropdown menu
Project Detail Modal
Navigate to any project, and click on the Project Name located at the top left side of your project.
Inside of the info modal, you will see a Project Status dropdown. You can change the project status from there.
Editing your Project Statuses
You will need to have Administrator access or higher for the account to be able to edit Project Statuses
Navigate to Settings > Project Statuses
You can add new project Statuses by pressing the + Add New Project Status button at the top of the Project Statuses page
| You will see a list that is organized into 5 categories or groups of statuses |
|
| These category headings cannot be edited or deleted |
These categories are created because we have some logic on the back end that triggers events based on the status category a project is set to
Some logic to be aware of:
-
Anything under Complete or Abandoned are treated as inactive projects
-
collaborators do not receive notifications on any tasks from projects in those statuses
-
-
You can change the names of statuses inside each category/group, add new project statuses, and drag and drop any statuses into any of the main groups
- for example, you can change the name of Pre-Sale and drag it into the group 'On Track'
- No one will see the names of the group headings anywhere in the app except for in the Settings > Project Statuses page
This is how the project statuses appear anywhere else in the app:
|
Notice there is no mention of the main group headings from the Project Status settings page The only thing you will see that relates to it is the status icon which corresponds to the categories which you added your custom statuses to |
