There are 3 ways to download form data from the app
- Inside any task that has a form, you can download that form data directly as long as it has been filled out and submitted
- From Settings > Forms - you can download all of the forms across all projects that have been filled out and submitted
- If you set up Custom Fields (Text string) and link that custom field to the form data, you will be able to download the data associated with that Custom Field from the Project List
Option 1: Download form data from any task
- Navigate to any project that has forms which your customers have filled out
- Navigate to any tasks that has a completed/submitted form
-
If a form has been completed, you will see a download CSV option next to the form title
- You can also download the same form data as a PDF (option right next to the CSV option)
Option 2: Download all data from a form across all projects
| Note: this option is recommended if you use the same form multiple times in the same project |
- Navigate to Settings > Forms
-
If you have forms created, and customers have been using them/filling out data, you will be able to download a CSV of that data across all projects
Option 3: Set up Custom Fields and download that data from the Project List
| Note: this only works going forward from the time you set up the Custom Fields to your forms, this will not work retroactively |
|
Important: This feature only works if you have 1 unique form per Project. This feature WILL NOT work if customers are filling out more than 1 form with the same data on your projects. The Custom Field data will override the previous one if more than 1 form with the same Custom Field is filled out on the same Project. Only 1 Custom Field will be included on the Project List per project. |
- Navigate to Settings > Custom Fields
-
Set up as many custom fields as you need for your forms. Make sure to select Text String.
- You will need a unique custom field per form field you want to track in your Project List
- Select Text String
- Don't reuse the same Custom Field on more than one field in your form
- Remember only one instance per Custom Field will appear in each project - you can reuse the same custom field across multiple projects, but not multiple of the same field in the same project
- Navigate to Settings > Forms
- Create a new form or select an existing form
- To the right of each field, you will see a Link Custom Field dropdown selection
-
Choose the Custom Field in the dropdown for each field that you want to appear in the Project list
- Remember, only 1 unique field per form
- if you are going to use multiple forms in the same project, each form must have their own unique Custom Fields, do not reuse the same Custom Field in multiple forms in this case.
-
After this is done and people start completing forms, you will notice the info appearing in your Project list if you have those options checked in settings
-
In the Project list, go to settings and make sure you have the Custom Fields you have chosen checked so you can see those columns
- If you have these columns visible in your Project List, you will then be able to Download the CSV and they will show up there
