Organizations

To enable organizations, Navigate to Settings > Advanced and make sure to toggle the option Enable organizations to on.

What you can do with this feature:

• Bulk un-invite collaborators from all of your Projects
• Save lists of collaborators to more quickly invite them to Projects

If you add collaborators to Organizations that are already invited to projects, all projects they are invited to will appear as part of the Organization

If you un-invite any collaborator (that is not a licensed user) from any Organization, they will immediately and automatically be uninvited from all projects in CoordinateHQ

When you create a new Organization, this is the view you will see:

You will be able to:

• Add a Description 
  • you may provide any relevant info to your licensed users that may be helpful to them about this organization
• Add Collaborators
  • No invitations will be sent at this point - emails are only sent when a collaborator is added to a project, so don't worry about spamming anyone by adding collaborators to Orgs
  • this acts as a soft contact list
  • you will more easily and quickly be able to invite collaborators to your Projects by using the invite from organizations tab
• Add Projects
  • If you add Collaborators who are already invited to projects, all of those projects will be automatically added to the Organization. This serves no other purpose than a reference point.

Functionality:

Note: Licensed Users on the account are unaffected by this functionality, only applicable to collaborators

No additional invite emails will be sent to user or collaborators when inviting them to organizations. Only if you are inviting them to Projects.

• Adding a collaborator that has been invited to multiple projects will add all of those projects to the Org automatically. No additional invite email will be sent.
  
  
• Deleting any Projects from the org list will then automatically un-invite any collaborators associated with that project that are also on the Org collaborator list from those projects that are deleted/removed from the Org list. You will manually need to re-invite them again. No email will be sent that they have been un-invited.
    
  

  

    
• Uninviting any collaborator from an org will automatically un-invite them from EVERY project they are currently invited to. You will manually need to re-invite them again. If you re-invite them to projects, invite emails will be sent.

Be able to add collaborators more quickly if they are invited to orgs

If you have a list of collaborators invited to Organizations, when you go into a project, you will not need to type out their email address. 

Navigate to the From Saved Orgs tab in the invite modal, and select their email from the dropdown.

Reminder: as soon as you start inviting collaborators that are saved to your Orgs, those projects will begin to get added to your orgs as well.
