We do not consider it best practice to delete a project. It is better to Archive it. This sets it in an inactive state and you can easily filter these projects out on the project list. By archiving instead of deleting, you will not lose any work you have done on a project when it is completed.
If you still wish to permanently delete a project the instructions are in the section below.
There are 2 ways to Archive a project.
- Archive from the Project List (You can bulk archive from here)
- Archive from the Plan inside of the Project Info Modal
Archive From the Project list
- Navigate to the Project List
- Select the project(s) you would like to Archive
- select the Bulk Update option that appears
- Inside the modal, select Archive option and click the Update button
Note: you can also bulk Un-Archive projects in this way that have been Archived by doing these same steps to Archived Projects, and selecting the Un-Archive option instead
Archive From the Project Info Modal
- Navigate to the Plan page of the Project you wish to Archive by clicking the name from the Project list, or searching for it in the Search Projects and Orgs search bar in the top nav bar
- Click on the Project Name in the header from any tab on the Project
- In the info modal that appears, toggle the Click to Archive button
- Once Archived, you will see that toggle change to This is Archived
Permanently Delete a Project
If you still wish to delete a project, you can do so from the Project Info Modal
As in the steps above, navigate to the Project Info Modal
- Navigate to the Plan page of the Project you wish to Archive
- Click on the Project Name in the header from any tab on the Project
- In the info modal that appears, click the Delete Project button
- You will need to confirm that you really wish to delete the project, and then it is permanently deleted. You will not be able to undo delete a project that has been deleted.
